Empowerment Without Apology: How Dr. Andrea Gleim Is Helping Leaders Rewrite Their Stories

In Tampa Bay and beyond, leadership no longer looks like it once did. Thanks to voices like Dr. Andrea Gleim, today’s leaders are learning to lead authentically without code-switching, without apology, and without sacrificing mental wellness.

As a bilingual psychologist, empowerment coach, and speaker, Dr. Andrea has spent more than a decade guiding high-achieving professionals, minority leaders, and entrepreneurs through the invisible challenges that come with ambition: imposter syndrome, identity transitions, burnout, and belonging.

From Counseling Rooms to High Achieving Groups

Dr. Andrea’s path began in psychology, where she dedicated 12 years of study and practice to understanding human behavior. As the founder of Mindfully Mine Counseling Center and an adjunct professor at Felician University, she has taught and mentored future mental health leaders.

But her mission didn’t stop at therapy. Recognizing that many high performers weren’t just seeking healing from the past but also strategies for the future, she expanded into coaching and public speaking. Today, Dr. Andrea helps women in leadership, minority professionals, and first-generation entrepreneurs step into their voice and lead with confidence.

A Voice for Authentic Leadership

What sets Dr. Andrea apart is her insistence that people don’t need to trade authenticity for success.
“Too often, professionals, especially women and minorities, feel they have to shrink, code-switch, or prove themselves twice over,” she explains. “My work is about showing them that they already belong in the rooms they enter.”

Her message has resonated across leadership summits, wellness retreats, and corporate stages. Whether she’s guiding executives on mindful leadership, helping athletes navigate identity shifts after their careers, or empowering women in tech to claim their seat at the table, Dr. Andrea blends psychology, mindfulness, and cultural fluency into transformative experiences.

 Leading by Example

Dr. Andrea’s story is also personal. A proud Latina of Salvadoran and Puerto Rican descent, and a first-generation college graduate, she grew up watching her grandmother redefine what was possible, which was launching a bakery in her 60s and running it into her 90s. That spirit of resilience fuels Andrea’s own belief that it’s never too late to rewrite your story.

Her clients describe working with her as both calming and empowering. She has a way of grounding people while also calling them forward into their potential to balance nurturing presence and bold challenge that makes her unique as a coach and speaker.

Looking Ahead: A Movement of Empowerment

Dr. Andrea is just getting started. She’s developing workshops, digital products, and retreats to expand her impact beyond one-on-one sessions. She envisions creating communities where leaders, especially women and minorities can support one another in leading authentically, without sacrificing wellness for achievement.

Her mission is clear: to help people own their stories, step into their power, and thrive without compromise.

At a time when leadership often feels like a mask, Dr. Andrea is reminding us that the most powerful leaders are the ones who lead with their whole selves.
