In Tampa Bay, where the skyline tells stories of both history and growth, one entrepreneur is redefining what it means to reinvent yourself. Dan Fabrizi, founder of Burgh2Bay Partners, has lived multiple lives: ESPN radio host, senior living executive overseeing a $75M healthcare portfolio, and now real estate developer with a reputation for grit, authenticity, and purpose. His journey is proof that success isn’t about the straight path, but it’s about the courage to pivot.
Reinvention on Repeat
Dan’s career started in media, where his voice filled the airwaves as a radio host. The job brought excitement, connection, and storytelling, but he felt a deeper calling. That led him into senior living, where he scaled operations across four states, led teams through the COVID-19 crisis, and built a reputation for resilience under pressure.
But once again, Dan found himself at a crossroads. “Sometimes the hardest and most powerful move you can make is walking away from something that’s working,” he shares. “I realized I needed to build something tangible, lasting, and something that reflected both my grit and my values.”
That decision sparked the launch of Burgh2Bay Partners, a consulting and real estate development firm dedicated to bridging relationships with opportunities. With a focus on flips, new builds, and short-term rentals across Florida, Burgh2Bay reflects Dan’s journey: from Pittsburgh (“the Burgh”), where he learned resilience and community, to Tampa Bay, where he now channels those lessons into growth and impact.
Built to Last
The early wins in real estate were promising, but Dan’s biggest lessons came during moments of crisis. After two hurricanes devastated parts of St. Petersburg, he watched entire neighborhoods flood. While one of his developments, raised above sea level, survived unscathed. What could have been a significant win for the company turned into pinching pennies after investors were given their anticipated return, yet Dan still calls it a victory.
“Life is about perception and appreciation,” he reflects. “I made money where many people lost everything. That changed my outlook on gratitude, resilience, and how I approach every deal moving forward.”
It’s this long-term, values-first perspective that sets Burgh2Bay apart. Investors trust him not just for the numbers, but for his transparency and character. “Once, I told a potential investor not to join a project because it didn’t align with our long-term strategy. That honesty earned their respect and later, an even bigger deal.”
More Than Real Estate
For Dan, business is about more than ROI. It’s about relationships, mentorship, and mental health, which are topics he doesn’t shy away from. After experiencing burnout earlier in his career, therapy became a turning point. “The more I understood who I was, not just what I could do, the more clarity I had in every decision,” he says. Today, he advocates for authenticity and emotional intelligence as the real foundations of leadership.
He mentors young entrepreneurs, shares his lessons on podcasts and panels, and supports nonprofits including HelpCureHD, the Team Godwin Foundation, and local Tampa Bay causes. In 2024, the Tampa Club honored him in their “42 Under 42” list of emerging leaders, cementing his place among the region’s most influential voices.
Looking Ahead
Dan is currently consulting on some major projects, including a private golf course community in Sebring, Florida. It’s a development that not only promises financial growth but also the chance to leave a lasting mark on a community, just as Oakmont Country Club shaped his childhood in Pittsburgh.
“My mission has always been simple,” Dan says. “Build what matters, tell the truth, and lead with purpose. When you do that, the rest follows.”
From radio booths to boardrooms, healthcare units to hurricane-proof homes, Dan Fabrizi’s story proves that reinvention isn’t about leaving your past behind; it’s about carrying its lessons forward.
And in Tampa Bay, that story is still being written.
