Florida Best Promotions Inc. brings the love of Salsa dancing to the Tampa Bay community. From its infectious music and lively atmosphere, salsa inspires people to set aside their differences and come together through this joyous and exciting art form.
Richard Del Rio, the founder and CEO of Florida Best Promotions Inc, says salsa “was a hobby that helped me in a very rough time in my life, and I meet so many people that also had this experience with the SALSA/Latin dance community.”
And now, his business is doing the exact same for those in the Tampa Bay Community.
“We started with our love for salsa music, the community, and a desire to share it with the entire world,” says Richard. Our team consists of people who want to help grow the salsa community and help in any way possible.”
This concept eventually expanded into an events mange and promotional company where they “offer a unique way to connect businesses to potential clients through face-to-face connections, digital, and mass media exposure.”
“Originally, we started as a way to network with businesses and share a great time with a little dancing and SALSA music,” says Richard. “This concept has exploded into a growing events management and promotional company that is still focused on expanding the SALSA community by bringing together the business community through our love for SALSA music, dancing, and culture.”

Today they are looking to continue “to establish relationships with city governments, businesses, and key individuals who support our SALSA festivals,” says Richard.
Richard, whose heart is near and dear to the salsa community, says the biggest challenge is maintaining a balance between the other business he runs as well as his personal life.
Though he has faced these challenges, his business has garnered great success, including averaging 10,000 people twice a year at SALSA on the Sponge Docks, “a magical place for SALSA and BACHATA dancing on the water, under the stars.”
This year Florida Best Promotions Inc. will be putting on Tampa Bay’s Biggest Salsa Event on October 22nd in Dowtown Clearwater – Salsa at the District: The Mojito Festival.
These milestones and remarkable events are what make the sacrifices all worth it. Though Richard loves what he does, his plans for the future are to be a “snowbird”
“I want to live in New Hampshire in the summer and here in the winter; this is my retirement goal,” says Richard.
As he continents of his journey, he is grateful for the people who have inspired and helped him along the way, including his family and Nadia Kaminskaya, the CEO of Branding Bosses, who “ helped me so much, and I am so grateful for your very kind support,” says Richard.
It is so important when a community can come together and show their love of salsa, and that’s what Richard continues to do.
